$3.6M Verdict After Policy Limits Challenged in Scooter Accident

Driver Roche Hahan and his passenger, Marielisa Villasenor, were struck by the defendant and thrown from their scooter upon impact. Both suffered serious injuries and underwent multiple surgeries as a result of the crash.

The defense argued that the injuries were overstated and that future medical expenses were inflated. Through litigation, El Dabe Ritter challenged those claims and presented evidence of the physical and emotional harm caused by the collision, including significant noneconomic damages.

Although the defendant’s original policy limits were only $500,000, El Dabe Ritter successfully exposed additional liability and secured a $3.6 million verdict for the injured riders.
